Immersive Experience
Metanoia
A return to the self.
Metanoia is a 360° immersive audio-visual experience about identity, reflection, and self-recognition.
Inspired by Chanel, the work follows a character searching for herself through the eyes of others. As she seeks approval, she slowly moves away from her own reflection — becoming disconnected from who she truly is.
The experience unfolds across six screens with spatial sound, dance, and mirrored visuals. Three screens carry the main narrative, while the remaining three act as reflections, placing the audience between appearance and truth, validation and recognition.
As the character lets go of external approval, she returns to her reflection.
Metanoia is not about becoming someone new — it is about recognizing what was already there.
Approach
Approach
The project was designed as a spatial narrative, where movement, sound, and reflection shape the emotional journey.
Contemporary dance was used to express the character’s transformation, while the mirrored screen structure made her inner conflict visible in space. Visual rhythm and spatial sound guided the audience through moments of distance, tension, and return.
